The Napa Valley has a large, increasingly-active Hispanic community, with a long history in the Napa Valley. Not surprising when you consider that the first Europeans to arrive here were Spanish, and that before becoming a republic (briefly) and the 31st state (in 1850), California was a possession of Spain and Mexico.
